We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to come join our growing engineering team (remote employment fully considered) for our innovative startup here in New York City that is at the forefront of the streaming video world.
What’s the Job?
In this role, you will be responsible for all production systems and the development of our monitoring and fault tolerance platform. You will be the primary point of contact and owner for all of our production systems, and you will interface with our engineering to design and spec new systems. You will also be authoring stack monitoring and automation tools.
Who Are We?
We are a well-funded startup (nearly $10 million in funding so far) that creates short-form digital videos for mobile devices and social platforms, with a particular emphasis on news.
Compensation
• $100,000-$135,000 (depending on skills and experience)

What Skills Do We Need?
We need someone with production experience with Linux deployments using EC2 and other AWS offerings.
It would also be nice if you had experience managing Cassandra, Redis, Postgres, and Ruby stacks.
Knowlege in Chef or Puppet
